The road to women's equality crosses bridges between scholars and activists. Their combined forces can yield powerful results. Presented by the Kigali Institute of Education's Centre for Gender, Culture, and Development, this session will recount collaborative experiences of joint curriculum development, joint conferences, student and staff exchange, resource sharing, and joint research in building bridges between their institutions as part of a global movement of gender centres. Presenters hope for the creation of a network that will help transfer knowledge and expertise from developed nations to developing nations in the area of gender equality and women's empowerment.
This session will be presented in English.
