Women with disabilities

In 2009, WW 2011 struck a formal partnership with DAWN Canada (DisAbled Women’s Network) to ensure the congress is as accessible as possible, that the needs of women with disAbilities are considered in terms of planning and logistics, and that perspectives and experiences women with disAbilities are a meaningful part of the program. As part of this partnership, DAWN advises on matters related to accessibility in the organizing and communications around the congress, and along with its affiliates, does extensive outreach to targeted communities on behalf of WW 2011.
